Bordeaux and Morocco striker Marouane Chamakh’s future is still in the balance after it was revealed that both Fulham and Spurs have joined the race to sign the highly rated 25 year old.

In what would be another devastating blow to Steve Bruce’s attempts to bring some quality into the Wearside club the lure of Fulham and European football or Spurs and their pedigree is much more appealing to Chamakh, though the player himself say’s:

“I have to wait. Once I am back in Bordeaux I will study all proposals.

“I don’t know where my future lies.”
